I’m looking for a fruit that would help me fill my stomach that doesn’t give much calories. Its not really substituting my main meal, but more of being a “lid” in the sense that when I would like to eat a little more, I’d rather eat some of those fruits rather that another half cup of rice or so…
What is the best fruit to eat while on diet?

aim for low glycemic fruit as they will have less fructose (sugar) and as such less calories.
So, a 1/2 cup of berries or some melon.
here are some of the low gi fruit
Fruit:
Most fruit and natural fruit juices, including apple, berries, cantaloupe, grapefruit, honeydew, oranges, pears, grapes, peaches, applesauce, (Cherries, plums and grapefruit lowest).
apples!They are good for you and filling.
melon. cantaloupe. its really tasty and not many calories.
apples have calories, but they keep you really full for a long time.
grapefruit.
vegetables naturally have less calories than fruits because of no sugar. so you might want to try that.
cucumbers=very low in calories
same with carrots
celery
etc.
I always maintain that the best fruit to get me through until the next meal is the mango.
Bearing in mind that you need to eat it with a raincoat on.
I’d say apples and oranges or whatever fruit you like the best!
